Hut by the sea

Our prime location offers many things to do. We'll point you in any direction you choose to ensure your stay is all you desired it to be and more!

Ready to Relax: Our hot tub will help you do just that all year-round, with the ocean and firepit right there, it's hard not to relax.

Adventure Awaits: If you are ready to get moving, the Hut's prime location offers no shortage of activities for you to enjoy. Get out into nature on a hike through various nature trails that have some fantastic views and likely wildlife spotting. You can even schedule a boat tour, for sightseeing, fishing, and iceberg hunting. My personal favourite is kayaking or paddle boarding around the bay for slow adventure and a work out.

Shop: A short walk down the road from the Hut will take you to world class pottery, shopping experiences, gourmet dining, a historic museum, and a whale exhibit.

King's Point History Learn More:

The valley our land is settled in was formed by a glacier over 10,000 years ago. The result is lush forests, pristine rivers and streams, flourishing flora and fauna and picturesque views!

Experience Kings Point and Surrounding Areas

  • FOOD: By the Sea Cafe is less than a minute walk down the street. I believe the food truck is open as well during the summer months and there’s a new pub that you would have passed on the way into town which was recently completely renovated.

  • POTTERY: The world class King's Point Pottery shop is a definite must see, hosting local art and art from all over the island.

  • OCEAN: There are boat tours in town, and the kayaking is great as well. There's often spectacular whale watching and iceberg sightings. The food fishery is open on the weekends during the summer, if you have a boat you can tie up at the Hut.

  • HIKING: There are many of hiking trails in the area, the main one being the Alexander Murray Hiking Trail, and Rattling Brook Falls. Rattling Brook Falls is ideal for hikers and non-hikers alike being a short 10ish minute walk I’d say, with a little swimming hole there too. Another secret spot on top of the falls as well, Eagle Lookout, but that is an unmarked trail, so it is a bit difficult to find without a local guide. There is also another trail at the end of Rattling Brook called the Caribou Trail, 3km in, 3km out.

  • NEAR BY: Harry’s Harbour is a beautiful town near by! With a couple hiking trails as well, Kings Cove Trail being the main one, but I think on the sign it still says Harry’s Harbour Walking Trail I am told. Glassy beach in Springdale is neat you’ll like that for sure. Bumblebee Bit is a brewery in Triton (40 minute drive). St. Patrick’s is a nice little town to see as well (20 minute drive).

And so much more...
